Health and Safety Training for the Entertainment Industry

Health and Safety training is much more than insuring a worker knows how to put on a harness or understands WHMIS symbols.  Health and Safety training should be viewed as a company-wide system that continually evolves and is updated.  This system must be ingrained in every level of the company and in every work practice.

To the Matt Solutions can provide a number of stock or customized training solutions that are suitable for the full production department, selected production heads, or a company’s upper management.  This type of training is critical to any company’s health and safety system and the understanding of it.

In Ontario, directors/officers, employers, supervisors, and workers all have duties (many of them different from each other) under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.  These legal duties are often misunderstood or completely unknown to many.  Health and Safety training helps to understand these duties as well as aid in meeting the requirements of these duties.

Understanding of duties is a key concept in a quest to become duly diligent – “taking every precaution reasonable in the circumstance for the protection of the work,” – as stated in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Below is a list of stock training solutions offered. This training can be customized to meet specific needs or a completely different training solution can be developed as needed.

Contact To the Matt Solutions for a complete description of each training solution offered.

All training takes place at the employer’s workplace.  A travel fee may apply to training conducted outside the Greater Toronto Area.
